About Us

Salford Angling Club was started in 1973 by four anglers who rented a small pond near to Pickmere Lake, Cheshire.

The original name of the club, for a short time, was Wellington Anglers until more members joined, and the name of the club was changed to Salford Angling Club.

The club membership has grown in size and has a membership of over 200.

In 2023 we began our own website which is now the backbone of the clubs administration. We also have our own Facebook page where members can find up to date information.

We currently have three leased waters . Two are for general coarse fishing and other is a stock pond.
