Brief description of fishery:
Our most popular water as it is inner city water. Car parking is at the entrance to the water making accessibility easy. There are 22 pegs of which there are 9 pegs specially built for members with mobility issues. Major improvements were carried out in 2020/21 to improve pathways and platforms. Fishery contains carp to 20 lbs, large stock of F1 to 6 lbs, tench to 5lb, pike to 20lb, and numerous large roach, perch, etc. This water can very busy, especially during the summer months.

Sandhole reservoir is situated just off Manchester Road (A6) at Wardley.
Access & Parking
If traveling from Swinton continue on Manchester Road (A6) towards Walkden . After passing the Morning Star pub on your right-hand side, travel under the motorway (M61/60) bridges and approximately 100 yards on your left-hand side is Sandhole Lane ( just before the bus stop). Entrance is through the locked metal gate which can be opened using your club key. The water is on the right-hand side which is clearly signed.
